Sverige, Europas ledande demokratur?

Ongoing election fraud in Sweden.

Dear OSCE/ODIHR/NAM-Need Assessment Mission in Sweden.

In a case of apparent election fraud, Kungälv municipality rejects the Nordic Resistance Movements/NMRs application to set up a election booth in Västra Parken, in Kungälv. Shortly thereafter, all the municipal councils applied to set up their own election booths at the same location which was approved.

July 17th 2018 Kungälv police department received NMRs application. This request was forwarded to the municipality for their opinion to base the police departments final decision on.

NMR received following reply:

”The municipality of Kungälv has rejected your application for use in accordance with Chapter 3. Section 1 of the Order. The police authority may not, therefore, notify the requested permit. The application should therefore be rejected.”

16 days later, on August 2nd, all political parties represented in the municipality, applies for their own election booths at the same location, which was approved by themselves.

Its therefore urgent for a separate investigation regarding the actions within Kungälvs municipality and the escalating trajectory of electoral rigging in Sweden.
Yours sincerely

Ann-Britt Axelsdotter

Dear Ms. Axelsdotter,

Tanks for getting in touch with this information.

FYI, ODIHR has sent a two-member election expert team to examine and assess two particular aspects of the process: The implementation of new regulations on campaign finance reporting and oversight, and legislation regarding procedures in polling stations – particularly, in relation to the way ballots are made available and how this affects secrecy of the ballot.

This was decided on the basis of information gathered in a visit by the needs assessment mission you mention, in May, during which experts from our office met with representatives of the authorities, including the electoral authorities, and of political parties, civil society and the media.

The report on the visit can be found here: https://www.osce.org/odihr/elections/383934. Information about the election expert team in general can be found at  https://www.osce.org/odihr/elections/sweden/388586.

Hope this answer and information help!

Best regards,

Thomas Rymer

Dear Ms. Axelsdotter,

Thank you for sharing your concerns/information.

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) carries out election-related activities in OSCE participating States to assess the extent to which elections respect fundamental freedoms and are characterized by equality, universality, political pluralism, confidence, transparency and accountability.  The Office also supports authorities in their efforts to improve electoral processes and to follow up on recommendations by ODIHR election observation and assessment missions. So far, ODIHR had deployed election-related activities in 56 out of 57 OSCE participating States and continues to regularly observe elections in states emerging from a non-democratic past as well as in longer-established democracies.

ODIHR has various formats for election observation and assessment activities. Following a Needs Assessment Mission carried out in May 2018, it was decided that an Election Expert Team consisting of two experts be sent to Sweden to assess the electoral process for compliance with OSCE commitments, other international obligations and standards for democratic elections, as well as national legislation. The experts will assess the election-related legal framework pertaining to the uniform implementation of election procedures and review the implementation of the campaign finance reporting and oversight framework. The final report will be prepared some two months after the elections and will be publicly available on the ODIHR website.
